The first time I did, it left an echo in my mouth for minutes afterward. Husband. MY husband. I half-expected someone to argue with me – “only adults have husbands” – but apparently I can pass for a wife, who knew?
It’s something I’m having an equally difficult time wrapping my head around. I cannot fathom calling the beau my husband for exactly the same reasons you did — wait, I’m not an adult! But I suppose it’ll just become natural over time?
Love that dress. And your mom looks so young and cute! How old were your parents when they married? (Mine were 23; so weird to think my mom had 2 kids at my age….)

mine were 19 too. i suppose that’s part of why mine didn’t last. but my aunt and uncle did and they are still totally in love at 60!

My mom was 19. They lasted for 35 years. My brother was 20 (his wife 19), and they’re still crazy in love 20 years later.
